Empowering Families from Pregnancy to Parenthood

Pregnancy is a powerful time for learning, growth, and preparation. Expectant families are eager to understand how their baby is developing, what changes are happening in their bodies, and how to prepare for birth and parenting. It’s a unique window of opportunity to offer meaningful support, and that’s exactly what Candelen’s Prenatal & Postpartum Program is designed to do.

This one-of-a-kind program pairs families with a Doula Parent Educator, a professional trained both as a certified parent educator and a doula. Families receive the best of both worlds: compassionate support through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, along with trusted guidance on parenting during their baby’s first year.

Services are provided through home visitation and are designed to support participants’ unique experience. Candelen’s Prenatal & Postpartum Program offers compassionate, personalized support for pregnant individuals in Maricopa County.

Our doula parent educators are here to guide and support you every step of the way, helping you feel confident throughout pregnancy and birth, preparing you to welcome your baby with ease, and standing by your side as a trusted advocate during labor and delivery.

  • Prenatal Education: Whether it is a family’s fourth baby or first, Candelen is here to help families feel prepared. Participants will learn what to expect during pregnancy, labor, birth, and those first days with their newborn through supportive and culturally responsive education that meets them exactly where they are.
  • Labor and Delivery Support: When it is time to welcome a baby, our trained doulas are by your family’s side, offering steady support, comfort, and care throughout labor and birth.
  • Postpartum Support: Welcoming a new baby is a big transition, and families don’t have to do it alone. Families receive assistance navigating the early weeks after birth, including physical recovery, emotional wellness, and infant care.
  • Parent Education: A baby’s first year is full of special moments, and we’re here to help families feel confident with practical tools, individualized support and resources tailored to a family’s unique journey. Families will feel empowered to grow alongside their baby.
